Gilt Bronze Figure of Louis d’Orleans by Emmanuel Fremiet (1824-1910)

 

A superb Gilt Bronze of Louis d’Orleans by this famous French Sculptor. Fremiet exhibited at the

Paris salon throughout his lifetime. Napoleon III was a great admirer of his work and commissioned

statues from him.  This one was cast in 1869.
